Kits:
Kits include every part to make your dream machine. We will work closely with
you on selecting the ideal models and sizes of stem, handlebars, cranks, gearing,
etc. We feel that Chris King headsets, Fizik saddles, Cinelli or Fizik gel tape,
and King bottle cages are terrific products that come at a fair price, so these
are included in most quotes despite their higher cost. We charge $175 for whole
bike assembly and $200 to pack and ship, or as quoted.
Prices include everything except pedals and wheels – see wheels list.
All prices change frequently so don’t hold us to these. Prices quoted are
for kits and wheels when sold as part of a whole bike – we don’t
sell components separately.
Parts Kits, starting at:
- Campy Centaur - $1300
- Campy Chorus - $1700
- Campy Record - $2200
- Shimano DA 10 - $2100
- SRAM Rival - $1400
Forks:
We use forks from Advanced Composites (Wound Up), Reynolds Composites (Ouzo
Pro, UL), True Temper Sports, and Edge Composites. They all make great products,
provide a wide range of models to choose from, and all forks we sell work with
25mm tires. Our Strada Bianca model requires a special fork built for long-reach/57mm
calipers, which are made by Wound Up to our specifications. Our Classic line
uses the CS25 long-reach fork from Alpha Q, in 45mm rake.
Steel forks for our
Cinghiale Pro and Tournesol models are made in-house at HampCo.
Wheels:
HampCo™ hand-built wheels using DT Swiss rims and spokes:
- DT Swiss 240s hubs - $675
- DA10 hubs - $550
- Chris King hubs - $675
Other rims available, pre-built wheels as quoted.
Colors
A good resource for color choice – especially if you are getting a frame
built by Co-Motion – is the Co-Motion

Decals
Our new-style Moderne decals are designed by famed typographer Paul Barnes
and feature a re-drawn boar and brand-new down tube graphic, all in solid colors.
White
Pink
Blue
Red
Gold Metallic
The Neo-Moderne collection features a solid color with contrasting outline:
Yellow fill with red outline
Blue fill with dark blue outline
Red fill with black outline
Smilin’ Andy on the seat tube, as always.

From our original Classique Serpentine-based down tube decals choose from:
White fill with red outline
White fill with blue outline
Yellow fill with red outline
Blue fill with dark blue outline
Red fill with black outline
Head tube boars and Smiling Andy’s to complement. Going quickly.
Tournesol decals are:
Cream/yellow with red
Cream/yellow with blue
Cream/yellow with cabernet
Our preference, and our usual recommendation for both Hampsten and Tournesol,
is for single-color paint schemes with minimal decals. We feature a boar on the
head tube, “Hampsten” on the down tube, and Smilin’ Andy (or
a boar) on the seat tube. Tournesol frames have sunflowers on the head and seat
tubes, “Tournesol” on the down tube. Tres simple, less is more, etc.
